據(jù)日本媒體報(bào)道，東京一所大學(xué)建成一間實(shí)驗(yàn)室，由機(jī)器人完成以往科研人員負(fù)責(zé)的醫(yī)學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)，力求最終實(shí)現(xiàn)幾乎全流程科研自動(dòng)化。
這座設(shè)于東京科學(xué)大學(xué)湯校區(qū)的機(jī)器人創(chuàng)新中心，配備10臺(tái)機(jī)器人，其中包括人形機(jī)器人Maholo LabDroid，場(chǎng)內(nèi)無(wú)需任何工作人員值守。
該校計(jì)劃長(zhǎng)期大幅擴(kuò)充機(jī)器人數(shù)量，將自動(dòng)化系統(tǒng)與人工智能（AI）深度融合（The university plans to significantly increase the number of automatons in the long run, integrating automation systems with artificial intelligence）。
這些雙臂機(jī)器人能夠完成試劑定量轉(zhuǎn)移、開關(guān)溫控設(shè)備艙門并存取樣品等精細(xì)操作，已完成編程的細(xì)胞培養(yǎng)工作同樣可自動(dòng)開展。
該校計(jì)劃到2040年將機(jī)器人數(shù)量擴(kuò)充至約2000臺(tái)，實(shí)現(xiàn)從科研假設(shè)提出到實(shí)驗(yàn)驗(yàn)證的幾乎全部研究工作自動(dòng)化（The university plans to expand the number of robots to around 2,000 by 2040, carrying out almost all research tasks from generating hypotheses to experimental verification）。
該中心主任中村圭一在4月中旬的實(shí)驗(yàn)室落成儀式上表示：“我們立志讓日本科研水平位居世界頂尖。”
他指出，人工智能與機(jī)器人技術(shù)是實(shí)現(xiàn)這一目標(biāo)的核心手段。此次剪彩儀式，機(jī)器人也參與了環(huán)節(jié)。
此舉恰逢各大科研機(jī)構(gòu)面臨人手短缺、亟需減少實(shí)驗(yàn)人為誤差等行業(yè)難題（The move comes as research institutions face challenges including labor shortages and the need to reduce human error in experimental work）。
該機(jī)器人已進(jìn)駐日本西部兵庫(kù)縣神戶市一家眼科專科醫(yī)院，用于誘導(dǎo)多能干細(xì)胞相關(guān)臨床研究，承擔(dān)細(xì)胞培養(yǎng)等工作。
此前在神戶負(fù)責(zé)操控該機(jī)器人的科研人員，也加入了這座全新實(shí)驗(yàn)室（Researchers involved in the operation of Maholo in Kobe have also joined the center）。
