據(jù)日本《朝日新聞》報道，日本總務(wù)省5月29日發(fā)布了 2025年初步人口數(shù)據(jù)顯示，自2020年上一次人口普查以來，日本總?cè)丝跍p少約310萬，降幅達(dá)2.5%。
受出生率下滑與社會老齡化雙重問題持續(xù)加劇影響，日本總?cè)丝诮抵?.2305億（The nation’s total population came to 123.05 million as the twin problems of a falling birthrate and aging society continue to accelerate decline）。
初步數(shù)據(jù)表明，在去年10月開展的本次普查中，僅東京都與沖繩縣實(shí)現(xiàn)人口增長，其余45個都道府縣人口均出現(xiàn)減少（The remaining 45 prefectures saw their populations shrink）。
千葉、神奈川、愛知、滋賀四縣人口較2020年普查時的增長態(tài)勢出現(xiàn)逆轉(zhuǎn)，本次均轉(zhuǎn)為減少（This was a reversal for Chiba, Kanagawa, Aichi and Shiga prefectures that had previously experienced an increase in residents in the 2020 census）。
從減少的絕對數(shù)量來看，北海道降幅最大，減少23.9萬人；靜岡縣次之，減少16.4萬人；兵庫縣位列第三，減少14.1萬人。秋田縣人口降幅比例最高，達(dá)8.1%（Akita Prefecture registered the highest rate of decline at 8.1 percent）。
東京都依舊是日本人口最多的地區(qū)，總?cè)丝?425萬，占全國總?cè)丝诘?1.6%；鳥取縣人口最少，僅52.4萬人（Tottori Prefecture had the fewest residents at 524,000）。
由東京都及鄰近的千葉、神奈川、埼玉三縣組成的東京都市圈，人口占日本全國總?cè)丝诘?0.1%；該區(qū)域近五年人口增加7.1萬人。
日本全國1719個市鎮(zhèn)村中，有1558個（占比90%）出現(xiàn)人口減少（Ninety percent, or 1,558, of the country’s 1,719 municipalities experienced population decline）。
在全球范圍內(nèi)，日本人口排名從上一次調(diào)查的第11位下滑至第12位（Globally, Japan’s population ranking slipped to 12th from 11th in the previous survey）。
