長信宮燈是西漢時期青銅燈具,器具通體鎏金,是河北博物院的鎮館之寶,于1968年在中山靖王之妻竇綰墓出土。它的設計頗具巧思,宮女中空的袖管可吸納燈芯燃燒時產生的煙霧,減少煙氣外逸,燈體部件還能夠拆分,便于清洗。
The Changxin Palace Lamp, one of the greatest treasures of the Hebei Museum, is a gilded bronze oil lamp from China\x26#39;s Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24). Unearthed in 1968 from the tomb of Dou Wan, wife of Prince Jing of the Zhongshan state, it is celebrated for its ingenious design. Fumes produced by the burning oil are drawn through a hollow sleeve of the kneeling palace maid and collected inside her body, helping to keep the surrounding air clean. The lamp can also be taken apart for easy cleaning, while inscriptions on its surface record its changing ownership among Western Han palace households
