表象之下的幻境

她不是在做陶瓷，是用陶瓷畫畫。

一個顏色涂上去是那樣，但經過上千度燒出來就完全不同了。可能是紅，可能是黑，誰也不知道。

就是這不確定性吸引了她。她說，除了不確定性，也要有一些確定性，讓它們達到平衡。

屢次仔細端詳正在講話的她，試圖看出她的年齡，屢次都失敗了。

有些人，就是無法被看出實際的年齡。

作為一直講話、被觀察的那個人，她同時也觀察著對方，而且會突然地提出一些問題，不過話題很快會回到她所癡迷的創作上面。好像對生活中其它方面的關注——比如與人相處、比如食物——都只是她在工作中偶然走神的結果，勉為其難地停留一下下。

你以為她無所謂，她卻偏偏很周到，特地帶我們去看開窯，帶我們探訪景德鎮的老作坊，甚至周到得事無巨細都要囑咐——靠這邊走，這樣拿瓷板，這樣推車，從這個角度這樣拍我，去這間咖啡館買咖啡，在那個座位吃午飯……

她說著說著會激動起來，眼睛發亮，我甚至以為她要哭了。關于藝術，關于生命，關于過去，還有現在她所愛的景德鎮。

聽她說話 ，也沒有什么實際的意義，并不是從A導出B這樣的邏輯。在她說話的時候，你其實可以放任自己去想象——有個少年歡快地在草原上吹一支自制的木笛，金色的陽光炫目，露水還殘留在草葉的尖端。不需要神靈，不需要辯論，更不需要戰爭……世上一切，抵不得這清晨最芬芳的一刻。

作品全堆在工作室里，無論滿意的不滿意的，瓷板、瓷片、大大小小的瓷瓶、杯子、小型的雕塑，堆滿各個角落，屋外的露臺上還能看到工作失敗的殘局。

坐在那里一邊聽她講一邊反復掃視周圍的作品，有些本來沒有注意到的，也逐漸變得吸引人——那些顏色、肌理，和形態上的微妙轉折，在用一種你沒聽過的語言小聲唱頌，里面潛藏的意義會在不知不覺間傳達到觀者的內心。

同為一個創作者，由衷地羨慕她的創作狀態。

她卻說：其實我覺得創作不創作也沒關系，過好自己的日子最重要。

可她連一間廚房都沒有。

她所謂的過日子就是每天摸著那些瓷板、陶胚，琢磨該用什么釉色，燒出來會是什么樣子；就是不停地嘗試，不停地失敗，在時間和生命堆積起來失敗的廢墟中找到耀眼的珍寶。

就像詩人找到一句恰如其分的詩。

A Fantasy World Beneath the Surface

Ceramic is her paint.

After the extreme heat process, which could be over 1,000 degrees Celsius, the color could vary in the most unexpected ways.

The incoherence attracts her, and with a drop of certainty to balance it.

One will not be able to tell her age just by looking at her. There are those who lives beyond the scope of time.

She observes, and is being observed during conversations. Chitchat pops up here and there, but eventually her topic will warp itself back to the trajectory of creativity.

Just when you suspect her of being careless, she shows her hospitality by showing you the most exotic corners in Jingde Zhen. She is specific about every detail, as far as which side of the street should one be walking on, how to hold the ceramic plate, how to push the cart, from which angle her picture should be taken, and which cafe and seat in a restaurant is preferable.

Her enthusiasm builds up, her eyes lit up when talking about art, life and the past of her beloved Jingde Zhen.

It’s not rationale, not causality in her words. It’s the incited imagery, the synesthesia— a young man playing a wooden flute that he carved himself on the meadow, dazzling sunlight, morning dew on the tip of grass-blade, no need for theology nor debate, let the world be and nothing there is but this moment of the precious fragrant dawn….

She sits among the debris of her works in her studio. Ceramic plates, pieces, cups, mini sculptures, etc. are scattered in all directions. Out on the balcony, there’s the residue of a failed experiment.

Listening to her, one is drawn into the nuances of color, texture and form. A language beyond semantics and metaphors emerges, psychedelic, in its literal sense.

For someone who doesn’t own a kitchen, she said, “I don’t really care about creating art, living well is more important.” As a fellow artist, I envy her.

Living well to her is to dive deep into her pile of ceramics, dwelling in colors and form, tests and failures. Occasionally, she encounters the precious among the crumbled sand castles, like poet, remembering that verse of inevitability, not one word exchangeable or disposable.

藝術家介紹：

張丹

1988-1992 畢業于中央美術學院附中、中央美術學院民間美術系。1992年移居捷克首都布拉格，在捷克、斯洛伐克、德國、波蘭等多次舉辦個展。近年回國發展，多次舉辦繪畫個展和參展；從2020年起在景德鎮陶溪川國際工作室駐場，從事陶瓷創作；曾在北京捷克駐華大使館舉辦個展；參展2022年中國美術館《北京國際藝術雙年展》，《2024中國磁州窯國際陶瓷藝術雙年展》 ，陶溪川國際工作室與嘉德拍賣聯合舉辦的《國際當代陶藝駐留藝術家作品展》，陶溪川中央美院美術館群展等等。目前在景德鎮從事高溫顏色釉和陶瓷雕塑創作。
