The first horse gifted in 2002 was named "Akhal-Dash," which carries the meaning of "Diamond" or "Gemstone" in the Turkmen language. The second horse gifted in 2006 was named "Alkadayag," meaning "Partner." 顏延之：《赭白馬賦》：蓋乘風之淑類實先景之洪胤。按：景同“影“，乘風：奔馳之速狀。淑類：極盡完美者。洪：大。引申為杰出。胤：后代。阿赫達石為“寶石”血統的駿馬，其祖母是前蘇聯元帥朱可夫的坐騎。朱可夫騎著它在烏克蘭打敗德軍名帥曼施坦因，騎著它參加過解放柏林的入城式。1996年，剛滿兩歲“寶石”血統阿赫達石，在平地1000米的奔跑紀錄是1分12秒4。
詩中的乘風指空運。2002年6月17日，8歲的“阿赫達什”搭乘伊爾-76運輸機，經7個多小時飛行，自土庫曼斯坦首都阿什哈巴德，來到千里之外的天津。
