European champions Spain won their second World Cup on Sunday, defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time. Despite the defeat, Argentine President Javier Milei announced that the country would still observe a national holiday.
米萊表示，鑒于民眾對阿根廷國家隊所取得成就的慶祝活動的關切，現向公眾通報：根據球員及教練組決定的慶祝日期，該日將被宣布為全國假日。
In a social media post, Milei wrote: "Given the concern about the celebrations for the achievement reached by the Argentine National Team, I inform the population that, depending on what the Players and the Technical Staff decide regarding the day to celebrate, it will be declared a national holiday."

賽后，@阿根廷國家足球隊 官微分享了阿根廷隊主教練斯卡洛尼的一段發言：“此刻我感到悲傷，但最重要的是，我對這些小伙子們懷有永恒的感激，因為走到今天這一步極其艱難。我們在勝利時是強者，在失敗時也必須做強者，我們要銘記已經做到的一切。我們傾盡了所有。”
